I'm currently at chapter 161 and so far, it was still readable through there are a lot of flaws in the story. That's why Dementors can only be destroyed by the Patronum summoning charm. dementors can be created so you can say that dementors can be destroyed. and it's obvious that you can take out its spine after weakening dementors don't need to kill it
